Uzbekistan Tailor Made Tour May 2017
The itinerary was interesting and we loved the whole trip and thought the country was wonderful. The people were friendly and we seemed a bit of a novelty to them. All the Uzbekistan tourists we saw at the sites we visited wanted to take our photographs!! We enjoyed the food and ate at very nice restaurants. The cost of good quality food is extremely reasonable. If you have clients interested in Uzbekistan urge them to visit the country, they will not be disappointed. We would highly recommend a visit to Uzbekistan.
Wonderful interesting country. Exceeded all our expectations. Alan and Marjorie Mills
Vietnam Set Departure Tour March 2017
Thank you, Aidan, for organising my recent Vietnam tour. I have to say that your advice, attention to detail and prompt replies to any queries etc was first rate. Customer care is something you take very seriously and is not just a marketing mantra. You obviously also take great care in choosing your Vietnam based ground agents as they were so efficient, polite and friendly. Everything ran like clockwork and the guides were all so friendly and informative. The various hotels where we stayed at were also of a very high standard. Next time I travel I will certainly look at what Epic Asia have to offer and would have no hesitation whatsoever in booking with you again. Naturally, I would recommend you to any of my friends who might be thinking about travelling to Asia.
Thanks again for a seriously good holiday. Barry Manstoff
South and North India trip – “I thoroughly enjoyed every minute”
After having arrived in the south it took no time at all to completely blow my mind at how different the culture was. I was amazed by the day top day life of the people. Southern India was beautiful, not only when we were sight seeing but also whilst in the car – the landscape was spectacular, not at all how I’d expected India to be. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and learned so much. Our guide made the experience one to remember; he was informative, fun and friendly. Without him we would never have seen or had the confidence to experience the real India. After our time in the south we went north, where we witnessed some of the most stunning cities and architecture, including the Taj Mahal – something I’d always dreamed of seeing. India total exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I’d like to thank you for making this all possible”. Kathryn Hopkins
Tour of South India – “An experience I will never forget”
Thank you so much for organising the tour it was truly incredible!! Everything was stress free and organised perfectly. Roopesh was an amazing driver and really took care of us. He was so sweet, always stopped during the journeys if we asked him to and took us to see waterfalls that weren’t on the itinerary. Munnar was my favourite place. I loved the hotel in the forest, the views were incredible. Our guide there was amazing – so friendly and he took us to a place where we could ride elephants. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tea Museum and the national park as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the bicycle ride in Mamallapuram, even though I feared my life! It was an experience I will never forget. I now feel safe to ride a bike anywhere in the world! Seeing the two temples on the way to Tanjore was definitely needed; it broke the journey up and didn’t feel as long to get there.
The Big Temple in Tanjore was beautiful. The evening ceremony in Madurai was amazing and I would highly recommend it for anyone who visits. It was such a great experience; the colours, the lights, the music, the elephant, everything was beautiful.
The tour guide the next day in Madurai, Daisy, she was amazing. Her English was incredible and she was very knowledgeable. The Sri Meenakshi Temple was my favourite temple we saw. The rickshaw ride was another death trap! But I would still highly recommend doing it and I would happily do it again. It’s a great way to see the city and we saw some interesting things.
All the hotels were perfect for us, they were all clean and safe and we had no problems. Your colleague Raji was amazing as well. She checked on us half way through the tour to see how we were finding the tour and if we had any problems, and we both really appreciated that. She also arranged for a driver to pick us up and take us to the Kochi airport, even though we stayed an extra few days after the tour, and we really appreciated that too.
Thank you so much for everything! The tour was incredible and I would happily recommend your company to anyone! Thank you again, I really enjoyed the tour and going to India was such an experience I will never forget.Alexandra Ezsias
Indochina – “We thoroughly enjoyed our trip”
Our time in the three countries was most enjoyable. Every timing went according to the timetable; no one was late and even all the flights save one (and we had 18 in total), left on time. All our guides were interesting and informative and the problem we now have is to retain what we learned. All drivers were smartly turned out and drove safely and the cars were immaculate each day. I will long remember the Tara Angkor Hotel for the excellent service. We had exceptionally good breakfasts and when we did eat other meals there the quality of food, the presentation, value for money and the cheerful service made it a pleasure. The Eco Lodge at Mai Chau is in a class of its own – an exceptional experience in every sense and one which we will never forget, particularly the food. We particularly enjoyed the enamelling in Hue (we were offered a job; perhaps everyone is to make them feel they had done well) and we are now experts at making spring rolls and turning ordinary tomatoes into works of art. We had a remarkable morning in Laos at The Living Land Enterprise ploughing in the paddy fields, harvesting rice, threshing by hand and then eating rice products. All tourists visiting this part of Laos should be encouraged to visit the farm and listen to the charismatic young man who runs the place. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will pass on the name of Epic Asia to friends who might be interested in visiting one or all of these three countries. Tim & Karin Terry
South India Tour – “All in all it was amazing”
The tour was fantastic! We loved the south, it was my favourite part. Our first guide Raj who picked us up from the airport and our guide in Munnar were particularly great. The others were also good, but those two guides really made our trip special. The hotels were all above our expectations, the one in Mamallapuram was really nice and the staff amazing. The hotel in Munnar was beautiful also, with amazing views. Munnar was our favourite place because we asked the guide to take us to somewhere where you can ride elephants, which was amazing. Our driver was just amazing, he helped us so much, he took us to a beautiful waterfall in Kerala off the itinerary; he made our trip extra special. All in all it was amazing! We saw some incredible temples; the evening ceremony in Madurai was one of my personal favourites! I would definitely recommend your company to anyone travelling. Beginning our trip in India with the tour was really useful and stress free, I am very pleased we chose to do it. Thank you for everything. Lauren Heath
Vietnam – “We had a wonderful holiday”
We had a wonderful holiday in Vietnam, courtesy of Epic Asia. Faultless organisation by Aidan – all at short notice – made for a stress-free run-up to or tour. An excellent Vietnamese guide and our own drivers and cars throughout the trip made everything very easy for us. So many highlights, but Hoi An has to be our favourite place. And the food everywhere is superb. We would highly recommend a visit to this vibrant country with the expert guidance and knowledge of Epic Asia. David & Karen Redfern
South and North India trip – “This was the most amazing trip ever”
Thank you for organising the most amazing trip! It was amazing not being on the main tourist routes and actually feeling as if we were experiencing the true India. Everyday Kathryn and I would be like ‘yesterday cannot be topped’ but every day of the trip just got better and better. Mahabalipuram was a big highlight. We loved how friendly everyone was and how lovely the village and beach were! Would love to go back one day! At Mysore we were so lucky to see the palace lit up due to a royal wedding taking place there. At Mudumalai Park we were lucky enough to see a wild elephant and her baby and we loved the accommodation as it felt as if we were sleeping in the jungle. Fort Cochin and its Chinese fishing nets were amazing and the Keralan house boat was a massive high point. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have our own boat – we were gutted when we had to come ashore! In the North Agra Fort and its architecture was stunningly beautiful. The Taj Mahal has to be the overall highlight of the trip – it was so beautiful and no amount of pictures could ever do it justice. Amber Fort in Jaipur and New Delhi were also amazing. This was the most amazing trip ever and thanks to all who were involved in creating this program for us! We would highly recommend you. If ever there was a problem it was sorted and actually it was the most stress-free journey I’ve ever had. Thank you so much. Megan Greenow
18 Day Myanmar Tailor Made Tour April 2017 – “The whole experience was electrifying!”
It was a great trip and we’d like you to pass on our compliments to all the guides and drivers. They were excellent. At Mandalay and Hsipaw the guide Zin and his driver were terrific – top class. We were there on New Year’s Eve for the water festival. Zin did ask if we wanted to go down to the moat area and, having divested ourselves of watches etc. and, having already been provided with waterproof pouches for mobiles, he took us. Now we had expected to get wet but not have fire hoses turned on us.
The whole experience was electrifying! Both Zin and the driver were excellent at shepherding us through the crowds and some of the more extreme water pavilions to visit his travel company’s pavilion. There, everyone was extremely friendly and provided us with beer and dry cigarettes. The boat trip at Hsipaw and the visit to a monastery and a Shan village for Shan noodles was fascinating, as was a walk around Hsipaw village.
At Mandalay, the river trip across the Ayerwaddy and the donkey cart ride to the wooden monastery were terrific. A stop at another monastery during meal time to see young noviciates was tactfully handled and informative. We must congratulate all your guides on their knowledge and all the drivers on their skill and consideration. Thanking you and your team and travel representatives in Myanmar for a really excellent visit. We will, and indeed already have, recommended you. Andy Brewer & Sue Hamilton
